Day 2 15/3/14 - Athens

Happy Birthday Gina!!


Today we spent the day in the Plaka, imagine Oakleigh but only 1,000x better.

The plan was to head to the Acropolis but there was so much to distract the senses, we got side-tracked. We meandered the streets then stopped for a late lunch at Oraia Hellas. The atmosphere here is pure old style Greek cafe in a gallery like room overlooking Plaka and the Acropolis beyond.

We covered a lot of ground, but made time for fuel, with a frappe and wine stop along the way. Finished with a souvlaki and some more walking for good measure.

Athenaens musn't spend to much time at home on Saturday, people everywhere and just an exciting vibe everywhere we walked.
